A binkake is a smaller variation of the furogama. It is typically less formal, lighter in weight and lower in cost. It works well with a tetsubine (cast iron spouted pitcher), and can work with a full kama if you pick one that is the right size.
This particular binkake uses a ceramic bowl called Shiro Satsuma (white Satsuma) from Kisu. A very beautiful piece!, but its degree of formality is So (informal). It comes with the appropriate tiles and a special sumi-like 400 Watt heating element.
