Chabako, Kiribako and Tanzakubako Boxes

Chabako, Kiribako and Tanzakubako Boxes
Chabako boxes are used when traveling. They can hold all the items you need to do a tea ceremony, except for the hot water. There are several different finishes, and also several qualities of production.

Kiribako are boxes made to store individual items... chawan being the items of dogu most frequently placed in such a box. Kiri (Powlonia wood) is a popular wood for these boxes because of its clear grain, quality of protection and reasonable cost.

Tanzakubako are larger than chabako. They can be used for traveling, or for storing a selection of tea items. They also come in several different finishes, and several sizes.
