Chabako: Kuro Tumaguru, Black Lacquer with Beveled Red Edges

Chabako box is used for travel or outdoor tea ceremony. You can put everything you need inside, except the hot water. This chabako is finished in a beautiful black lacquer finish, and the edges are beveled and highlighted with a rich red lacquer. This is an above average piece, and we got a great buy on it because it was a floor sample at the dogu wholesaler in Kyoto. It is an absolutely beautiful piece!
