Chawan: Kyo Ware Tea Bowl

This is a beautiful used tea bowl of Kyo-Yaki, or Kyoto ware. This chawan exhibits extraordinary shape and outstanding color on a porcelain base; many of the qualities ceramic wares from Kyoto are famous for. This article is 30-40 years old, and is made by a specialist in the making of tea bowls.
