Mizusashi: with Hand Painted Cranes

This is a vintage Japanese Mizusashi (fresh water container) which is used for tea ceremony. This piece incorporates the mishima style of decoration. It was made about 40 years ago.

The outside of this vintage water jar is completely covered with hand rendered cranes for a beautiful overall effect.

Dimensions: 4.8" diameter X 5.7" high.
