Fukusa: Woman's Red, Number 7 Silk

The fukusa wiping cloth is used by the host at a tea ceremony.  While women can use a variety of colors, red is the most popular.  This particular fukusa is made of #7 red silk (the number indicates the thickness of the fabric on a 6-9 scale).  This fukusa is not too thick, and is great for normal use or practice.
