Futa Oki: Bamboo for Ro Season

This is a futa oki (Lid Rest) made of white bamboo. You will notice that the joint in the bamboo is lower than for furo and the overall diameter is larger.

This futa oki is used when making tea without a tana (shelf).  The hishaku (water ladel) is silent when placed on a bamboo futa oki for Ro.
