Mizusashi: Oribe Design (Mino-yaki) with Lid

This is a vintage Japanese Mizusashi (fresh water container) that comes from the Mino area,. It's design is one of the most beloved by tea people, called "Oribe". It is typical Oribe with a smooth light tan (almost white) clay and finish with drawn designs in dark brown and a flowing green over-glaze that is identified as being Oribe. This jar comes with a matching lid.
