Tray: Lacquered Hassun Tray, Pre-owned

During the Kai-seki meal, a Hassun tray is used for food from the mountain and from the sea. The guests serve themselves. This course in the Kai-seki meal is usually accompanied by a round of saki (rice wine) shared by the host and guests. This particular tray is pre-owned, but in good condition with a beautiful lacquer. The joints have shrunk a little, so some of the unlacquered wood is visible.  ONLY ONE AVAILABLE.
