Modern Mino-Oribe Chawan with Copper-Green Glaze and Iron Brush Decoration, Unidentified Studio Potter, late 20th century.

A bold, highly recognizable Oribe tea bowl from the Mino ceramic tradition, combining creamy feldspathic glaze, deep copper-green glaze, and freely brushed iron decoration. The glaze division continues across the rim and into the interior, so the bowl presents a different composition from every angle.

About the Attribution

The combination of asymmetrical copper-green glaze, cream feldspathic ground, and iron brush decoration supports a high-confidence attribution to the modern Oribe tradition of Mino. The mark visible near the foot is not presented as a confirmed artist signature, and no named potter or box attribution accompanies the bowl.
